Why did it have to end this way?

Could the killers have panicked caused by the sudden nationwide search for the young child?

These will be a couple of the thoughts going through everyone’s mind especially parents with children of similar age.

The thought that our streets are not safe in Kuala Lumpur has been further ‘supported’ by this unfortunate incident.

Whatever the case may be…….the bottom line is that we have to, as far as possible, take care of ourselves where we can.

Our ‘regulatory’ authorities appear stretched (indifferent is too strong a word) and unable to keep pace with the evolution of our society……similar to societies around the globe.

We have to take the necessary precautions… it in pursuit of our children’s welfare, our house and job security and our overall well being.

Not taking things for granted is a good start.

A small mistake like what the father and mother did is irreversible. My heart bleeds for them.

I still recall the family along Jalan Ipoh that has a stall selling Bak Kut Teh. Their young daughter was found murdered not far away with a wooden stake pierced through her genitals!

The streets of Malaysia, especially Kuala Lumpur, are not safe anymore.

That is a fact!

Rein your kids in, parents. Keep a tight leash on them.

Reduce your risks of having to endure what the Yau family is enduring now and possibly for the rest of their lives.
