Maybe many of you may not know who Yong Vui Kong is.

He is a Sabahan convicted as a drug mule in Singapore and has been sentenced to death.

He was scheduled to be put to death (by hanging) last August but was deferred due to several clemency appeals.

In the meantime, reports coming out of the prison is that Yong has changed for the better and has been an exemplary prisoner.

There is no doubt that Yong has broken the law which provides for the mandatory death penalty.

If we are to accept life such that every saint had a past and every sinner has a future …… then it is only right that Yong Vui Kong should be given a second chance to life.

We all recognise the law and implications of making exceptions …… but ask is all that we can do!
