MALAYSIA’S 7.2% GDP GROWTH : NOW TELL US THE ‘STELLAR CONTRIBUTIONS’ OF PENANG & SELANGOR TO THAT GDP GROWTH!

It was good news for the country when PM Najib announced that Malaysia’s GDP had grown by 7.2% in the year 2010.

Kudos to the government for the achievement.

However, the sceptic in me requires that the figure to be analysed further.

This becomes very relevant when you consider that not all the states in Malaysia are ruled by the UMNO led Barisan Nasional.

5 states (Penang, Selangor, Kedah, Kelantan & Perak) are ruled by the Pakatan Rakyat …. before Perak was gangsterishly reverted back to the Barisan Nasional!

It becomes more so (relevant) when the General Election is just around the corner!

So it is important for the Rakyat to know in a more detailed fashion as to how much each state contributed to the national GDP growth of 7.2% for the year 2010.

So do tell us, Najib ….. or do we need to do our own calculations?

For those who may not be aware, both Penang and Selangor, led by the Pakatan Rakyat, already attracted nearly half of the total investments in Malaysia for the year 2010. Click HERE
