STATE COMPARISONS : WHICH MALAYSIAN STATE ATTRACTED THE MOST INVESTMENTS IN 2010?

Remember not too long ago, there were some bloggers led by Rocky’s Bru i.e. Ahirudin Attan trying to do a ‘run-down’ job on the Penang state government?

In order to hedge his own position, he directed his ‘fan club’ to various other sites which he had outsourced to, to do the dirty job! click HERE

In any case, I can recall being taught not to take the route of ‘shit stirring’ like Rocky’s cohorts …… rather one should as far as possible work on the factual situation!

Those who take the latter route will feel some form of vindication when a newspaper, owned by Vincent Tan, an individual who is always pally-pally with the UMNO led Barisan Nasional government, objectively reports on the investments attracted by each of the Malaysian states in the year 2010.

And surprise, surprise …… it is PENANG that comes out tops with investments of RM12 billion, a 465% increase from the previous year.

Of the RM12 billion, RM3 billion were new investments with the balance RM9 billion coming from existing corporations.

And guess who came a close second with RM11 billion ……… SELANGOR with RM4 billion being new investments!

Not only that, the total investments in Penang & Selangor constitute nearly half of the total investments in Malaysia of RM47 billion in the year 2010.

And aren’t these two states led by Pakatan Rakyat governments, Rocky?

Click HERE for the report from the Sun that extracted figures from the Malalysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA).
