ZAID IBRAHIM’S “STRATEGICALLY CORRECT” MOVE

The recent announcement of Zaid Ibrahim joining Anwar Ibrahim’s party, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (People’s Justice Party) – see Malaysiakini report vide Tok Mommy by clicking here  [and Malay Mail Rocky’s take on the ‘maverick’ here] – will obviously be labelled by critics as insignificant.

Others had speculated that he would join PAS which he is reported to have close relations with. However, he has quite rightly chosen the party perceived to be “most open” party amongst the triumvirate alliance. It is the most multi-racial party although critics claim it to be a party of UMNO stalwarts rejected by the incumbent UMNO leaders.

What is even more evident from this latest development is the emergence of a crop of leaders of substance and perceived to be of substance by the public at large. And these crop of leaders cut across racial lines! We are talking about Lim Guan Eng, Azmin Ali, Tian Chuah, Nizar, Tony Pua, Husam Musa and now Zaid Ibrahim. Suddenly, the Pakatan Rakyat does not appear to be a one-man party i.e. Anwar Ibrahim. It is a collection of progressive, reform and open minded individuals ready to put talk into practice.

The recent one day congress by Parti Keadilan Rakyat to approve the new structure of its party including limiting the term of the President and direct elections shows that the Opposition is also positioning itself come the year 2013 when the next General Elections take place.

The recent announcement by PAS leader, Hadi Awang that talks with UMNO would be conditional on the current government “freeing” the judiciary and press has relieved tension amongst the three party opposition. The need to stay focused is paramount and the entry of Zaid Ibrahim into the grouping was a master-stroke.

Absolutely correct move. Since Saiful left Anwar, there were no replacement and now Anwar will be laughing again.I hope after this Zaid don’t break away and highlight to the media he’s been sodomised.

Lee Kuan Yew is a great man.Whatever he did whether it is right or wrong in the eye of critics he made Singapore a great country.
Tunku Abdul Rahman and Dr.M contributed greatly to the development of Malaysia.
Let us observe the present leaders. There many many Laws in the country that can put a “unwanted man” in jail. eg ISA,emergency ordinance, sedition act etc.
But are those unlucky souls the enemies of the country or the enemies of the ruling class?
Anwar went to jail for anal sex. There are many pontans selling anal sex to customers every night and day.Why are they still free.????The federal constitution says that everybody is equal before the law????

Tiong King Sing plundered the country of RM 12.5 billion. Why is he not taken in under ISA? Is it because it is tied up with his ” MPS to Taiwan agriculture trip ” It is a good trip. The village rubber tapping boy upgraded himself to Taiwan standards.

Our country is facing a trade deficient.

One former President of Philippines was sentence to death for plundering the country’s coffers,

The Malaysian Parliament should pass a bill to make this offense a death by hanging sentence.
